Indonesian gov't to act against organizations given to violence

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said that the government would impose sanctions on mass organizations that use violence to reach their goals, a students organization said here Tuesday.
The president disclosed the government's intention when receiving a delegation of the Indonesian National Students Movement (GMNI) on Tuesday, Antara news agency quoted Sonny T Danaparamita, GMNI's secretary general, as saying.
At the meeting, the president expressed the government's determination to act against any party found conducting anarchic actions.
Meanwhile, presidential spokesman Anda Malarangeng said the president normatively conveyed the government's determination to act according to the law against anyone or any group who takes the law into their own hands and conduct anarchic actions.
